Scalapay is a new payment method that allows the customer to purchase the chosen products at their online store, immediately receiving the purchased items and paying the full sum in 3 convenient installments with a monthly maturity
Installment service has no additional charges for the buyer if installments are paid within the expiration terms
At the conclusion of the purchase the first installment (which is equal to one third of the purchase amount) will be immediately charged and the other 2 subsequent installments will be charged to the customer with a monthly maturity directly on their payment card entered during confirmation.
- First instalment: at the time of purchase
- Second instalment: 1st month from the day of purchase
- Third instalment: 2nd month from the day of purchase
How much does it cost me?
Scalapay is completely free for the buyer as long as they meet the payment expiration dates without delay.
A delay fee will only be charged if one or more of the planned installments are not repaid correctly by the expiration date.
Scalapay will inform the buyer a few days before the expiration of each installment via SMS and email for better management and scheduling of installments.
Delay fees
If the customer has not made the payment before the expected due date (2nd instalment) and the automatic payment does not succeed he will have 48 hours to complete the payment. If this does not happen, Scalapay will charge late payment fees as explained below:
- Payment made by due date: No additional charges!
- Payment made over 48 hours late: up to 6 euros of additional costs
- Payment made over 9 days late: an additional 6 euros of additional costs (in addition to the first commission, up to a maximum of 12 EUR for each payment)
The total cost of the fees may not exceed 15% of the value of the loan (second and third instalments)
We are aware that certain mitigating circumstances may occur that do not allow payment to be made by the scheduled date. If you think your case falls into these categories, contact us here before the payment expiration date and we will do our best to help you.
How much can I buy with Scalapay?
Your purchasing power depends on several factors, such as:
- the store you're buying from
- the type of paper used
- if you have already purchased with Scalapay (therefore already scalapaycustomer) and repaid previous purchases without incurring delays.
If you are a new user and have never purchased with Scalapay your purchasing power may be reduced and will increase over time the more you will buy with Scalapay without incurring delays with payments.
Remember that:
- Your purchasing power does not depend on the availability of your card
- Scalapay does not use external sources (e.g. CRIF) to assess each customer's credit worthiness.
Scalapay is unable to provide detailed information about a single user's purchasing power.
